High Performance Polypropylene Fibres For Concrete & Mortar


To improve the durability of cementations screeds and toppings by inhibiting the formation of small cracks, which occur because of plastic shrinkage and settlement due to premature drying.

Increased Residual strength

Durability is further enhanced due to increased residual strength, resulting in improved abrasion, impact and spalling resistance.

Even distribution

Even distribution throughout the mix is due to Fibers being coated with a special dispersing agent. Improves Fiber bond and eliminates the requirement for shrinkage control wire mesh reinforcement.

Internal & External Plaster

Can be used for internal & external plaster, concrete repairs, precast concrete railway sleepers etc.

Instruction for Uni Fibre Use

High Performance Polypropylene Fibres For Concrete & Mortar


When site mixing screeds, the Fibers should be added immediately following the aggregates, cement and half water whilst the mixer is turning. The balance of the water to achieve required workability is then added and mixing continued to ensure Uni Fiber PP are thoroughly dispersed. Minimum total mixing time is 5 minutes. When plant batching screeds, in a forced action mortar mixer, the fibers should be added to the mixer as the first ingredient, followed by the other constituents.


Screeds or toppings containing Uni Fiber PP may have an apparent increase in cohesiveness. It is important that additional water is not added. Fiber dosed mixes may be hand tamped or rolled to provide the necessary compaction.


Screeds or toppings containing Uni Fiber PP may be power floated or hand steel trowelled to provide a smooth and fiber-free surface appearance.


Normal good curing practices for conventional screeds or toppings must be strictly followed.

Shelf Life & Storage

Uni Fiber PP has a shelf life of 18 months from date of manufacture when kept at a temperature between 0 0 5 C to 45 C and store in the original, unopened bags. All material shall be stored under cover in a manner that will prevent damage preferable on pallets and protected from excessive heat and moisture. Do not freeze.

Health & Safety

Uni Fiber PP is no-toxic and non-flammable. Avoid inhalation of dust during mixing and wear safety glasses, dust mask and gloves. If skin contact occurs wash thoroughly with clean water. Should eye contact occur rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. Full health and safety data are given in Product Safety Data Sheet.

Uni Fibre Limitations

Uni Fibre Cannot be used as a replacement for structural steel reinforcement.

Uni Fibre Consumption

Approx. 1 kg of 12 mm Uni Fibre PP per cubic meter of screed or topping.

  • 75 g bag to 25 kg of cement
  • 150 g bag to 50 kg of cement
  • 500 g bag to a 1 tonne batch of ready mixed screed
